Compulsory Registration of Customers for Telephone Services Decree 2010
(Applicable to customers that bought a TFL telephone service before 2nd July, 2010)
     
 
In compliance with the new Compulsory Registration of Customers for Telephone Services Decree 2010 (Decree No. 34 of 2010) all TFL customers are asked to re-register your service at any TFL Customer Care Centre.
 
Registration Deadline

All customers are asked to register their service before 30 July 2010 or face possible penalties.

Customer Requirements

Residential Customers

  • Name and Date of Birth as it appears on the birth certificate and any aliases by which the customer is known;
  • Postal Address and residential address;
  • Permanent home address or address in Fiji  if visiting;
  • Copy of valid passport, FNPF card or other photo identification;
  • Parent or guardian's signature if the customer is below 18 years of age
 

For Incorporated (Companies) or Non– Incorporated Customers (Other Non-Residential Customers):

  • The registered  name of organisation and registered address;
  • Certification of registration number;
  • Confirmation of all organisations’ registered phone lines on your organisation’s letterhead with your organisation’s seal.
 

Penalties for Non-Compliance

TFL Customers that fail to comply with the Compulsory Registration Decree could face possible suspension of their service until registration has been complete.

Under the Decree, TFL customers must inform TFL of changes in registration details and failure to do so shall be liable to conviction for 6 months imprisonment or face a maximum penalty of $10,000.00.

A Customer who provides false or misleading information required under sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Decree shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a maximum fine of $10,000 or 1 year imprisonment or both.

 

Third-Party Registration

If you are registering for someone who is abroad, please bring a copy of their valid ID and a letter of authority from them that is witnessed by a Notary confirming that they have authorised you to register them on their behalf and that they will confirm the same upon arrival.
