What is a trunk call? Any long distance call within Fiji is deemed a trunk call. There are two types of trunk calls, National and Regional Calls. Our automatic exchanges are divided into three regions - Central/Eastern, Western and Northern. What is a national call? National (or Inter Regional) calls are calls made from one region to another region. For example, calls made from Suva to Labasa are National Calls as Suva is within the Central/Eastern region and Labasa is in the Northern region. How to make an operator assisted call? Operator Assisted calls are made through Telecom Fiji's Operator Services. All Operator Assisted calls within Fiji have a surcharge of F$1.13 VIP. National Calls Freecall 010 If you do not want to direct dial domestically, or if the service is not available on your phone, a Telecom Fiji Operator can place the call for you. To make the call: Domestic Collect calls Freecall 030 Collect calls are calls that are made from one phone but the receiving phone pays for that call.
