Voicebank Service

Voicebank Service is an answering service that answers your call when your phone cannot be answered after a number of rings or if your phone is busy.

  • You have a personalised and permanent voice mailbox
  • Message retrieval is free from most phones*
  • You can store up to 50 messages with a duration of 3 minutes per message
  • Stored for up to 14 days when saved
  • You can retrieve messages from any phone anywhere. From a Cardphone, TeleCard phone, mobile phone or from overseas
  • It informs you that you have messages through either by an announcement as soon as you pick up the receiver, your pager, or as a message delivery system, where your Voicebank Services will call you at a suitable time and you can listen to your messages.

How to personalise your Voicebank Service

Before you start using your Call Minder Plus, you could personalise your greeting and your pass-code. Otherwise, you could keep the default Telecom greeting, and pass-code (which will be the last 4 digits of your phone).

  1. Dial 18 80
  2. Enter your default pass-code (the last four digits on your phone)
  3. Press 8 for User Options
  4. Press 4 to create or change your greeting
  5. Press 7 to record your greeting. Here, you will be asked to "record your greeting after the beep", after which you will hear a beep
  6. After the beep, you can record your own personal greeting, such as "Bula, you've reached Tomu's phone. Please leave your name and number, and I will get back to you"
  7. Press # to end your recording
  8. Press 7 to listen to what you have just recorded
  9. If not satisfied with your recording greeting, Press 3 to discard your greeting and you will return to step 6
  10. Press 9 if you are happy with the greeting to save it.

Changing your Pass-Code

  1. Dial 18 80
  2. Enter your default pass-code (the last four digits of your phone)
  3. Press 8 for User Options
  4. Press 7 to change your pass-code
  5. Enter between 4 to 10 digits, and this can be a combination of any numbers on your keypad.
  6. Wait for you Voicebank Service to confirm your pass-code. For example, if you had punched in 190500, it will announce "You new pass-code is 190500"
  7. Press 9 to exit from the system

To retrieve a messsage

To retrieve messages from your Voicebank Service:

  1. If you have messages, you will hear an announcement when you lift the receiver - "You have messages. Please dial 18 80 to retrieve them"
  2. Dial 18 80
  3. Press 7 to listen to the first message
  4. Press 5 if you want to save your message
  5. Press 3 to discard the message. If you have more than one message, deleting the first one will automatically play the next one, until your Voicebank Service tells you that you do not have any new messages.
  6. Press 9 to hang up

Voicebank Charges

  • Monthy rental $1.02 [VIP] per month
  • Leaving message nationally $0.1227 [VIP] Flat

Checking message nationally is free and checking from overseas and mobile is charged at international and mobile rate.
