TFL call rates reduction

TFL call rates reduction.pdf (172KB)

As from today, all TFL post pay international call rates will drop by 20%, as recently determined by the Commerce Commission. The drop would see calls to countries in Band Z such as Australia, New Zealand, and United Kingdom dropping from around 75 cents to 60 cents per minute. Calls to South Pacific Island countries will now cost around 75 cents a minute compared with the current 94 cents per minute and other postpay international call rates will drop by 20% as well.

“We are pleased that we can offer our customers the new reduced call rates. We hope that our customers will take advantage of these new rates and keep in touch with their friends and families more often,” says TFL Group Acting Chief Executive Officer, Taito Tabaleka.

Apart from international calls, inter-region call rates for post pay customers will drop by about 10% from about 23 to 21 cents per minute. These include calls between the following divisions: Central Eastern and Western; Western and Northern; Central Eastern and Northern. For example, customers in Suva can call friends or family in Labasa and talk longer for less. Fixed to mobile inter-region call rates will drop to 50 cents per minute from 56 cents per minute. Local call charge for post pay residential customers still remain at 12 cents a call, so customers can still speak for as long as they like for only 12 cents. For business customers, local call rate is still 12 cents for 60 minutes.

For Telecard customers, call rates reduction vary from between 9% to 10%. Telecard inter-region rates will drop to 34c/min from 38c/min. Telecard international calls for Band Z, such as calls to Australia, New Zealand and UK drop by 10% from 90c.min to 81c.min. Reduction in Telecard call rates to other countries vary. There are also up to 10% reductions in TFL prepay calling rates (QuickDial).
