| Sakeasi Seru: Acting Chief Executive Officer, TFL Group
Sakeasi Seru’s was appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer in March 2009. Prior to this Mr. Seru was Acting Chief Operating Officer and Executive Manager Government and Rural Business where he was overseeing the day to day operations of the operational divisions namely Customer Services, Network and Technology, Access Networks, Change Management Team and Group Information Technology.
Mr. Seru has 36 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, working in various disciplines within the Company, leading the Customer Service, Marketing and Business Solutions SBU and Network and Technology Group.
Mr. Seru is a Charted Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics from Brighton Polytechnic in United Kingdom and holds a Diploma in Electrical and Engineering. He attended North West (Kellogg) University for Senior Executive Management Programme. He is a graduate of the New Zealand Institute of Management, management development program. Mr. Seru had served as Director in various corporate companies in Fiji. |
| Marika Vada: General Manager Customer Services
Mr. Marika Vada was appointed General Manager Engineering (Netco) in October 2009. He is responsible for the planning and implementation of the TFL’s Group infrastructure. Prior to this Mr. Marika Vada was the General Manager Customer Services for TFL Group. Mr. Vada has headed other sections within the company like Network & Technology, Customer Access Network, Planning and Development to name few. Mr. Vada has extensive experience in the Telecommunications industry spanning over 36 years.
Mr. Vada is an Engineer by profession and was instrumental in the development of Telecom Fiji’s radio, transmission and core switching network infrastructure.
Mr. Vada was appointed General Manager Change in 1996 leading the various change management initiatives to evolve Telecom Fiji towards a more customer driven organisation.
Mr. Vada is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Engineers, UK. He attended the intensive Harvard Business School Executive Management Program in 1995. He has served on various Boards including Ports Terminal Limited and Pacific Fishing Company Limited. |
| Kapila Sri Chandrasekera: Chief Financial Officer, TFL Group Kapila Sri Chandrasekera has spent 10 years in executive positions in various telecommunication Corporations and KPMG. He is currently the TFL Group Chief Financial Officer. He has served as Manager Corporate Finance of MTN Networks (Pvt) LTD (Dialog Telekom), a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia BhD a listed firm on the Colombo stock Exchange with a market capitalization of over USD 1 billion. After Dialog Telekom Mr. Chandrasekera was General Manager Management Accounting and Financial Strategy and also General Manager International Business for Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) with a market capitalization of over USD 500 Mn which is managed by NTT Japan who own 35% of the company. He was responsible for the Initial Public Offering of Sri Lanka Telecom and SLT’s USD 100 Mn bond listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange the first international bond offering from Sri Lanka.
Mr. Chandrasekera was instrumental in negotiating with Telstra to enable SLT to take over Telstra’s minority stake in Mobitel (Pvt) Limited to make the company a 100% owned subsidiary of SLT and subsequently was appointed as the Chief Marketing and Operations Officer. He was responsible for both the finance and marketing function during the switchover of Mobitel’s TDMA Network to GSM. Mr. Chandrasekera’s other areas of experience in the telecoms industry include regulatory affairs, billing systems and revenue assurance. Mr. Chandrasekera is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). |
| Samuela Vadei: General Manager Corporate Services Mr. Samuela Vadei is a solicitor by profession. He has spent over 15 years in the legal aspects of the telecommunications industry. He began his career at Telecom Fiji in 1993 as the Company’s Legal Counsel. Mr. Vadei was appointed Telecom Fiji’s Legal Counsel and Company Secretary in 2000. Mr. Vadei is currently TFL’s General Manager Corporate Services and was recently reappointed to the position in October 2009. He is responsible for all the legal aspects of the Company as well as managing TFL’s properties and fleet.
Mr. Vadei was also appointed Commissioner of Oaths of the High Court of Fiji in 1993, a position which he still holds. He has served as an elected member of the Fiji Law Society Committee in 1998 and 1999. Mr. Vadei has also served on the Board of Directors for Fiji Rugby Management Limited in 1998.
Mr. Vadei has a Law degree from Bond University in Queensland, Australia and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane and was admitted as a solicitor of the Queensland Supreme Court in 1992. |
| Eugene Singh: General Manager Business Strategy and New Venture
Before taking up this role, Eugene headed the Operational Support Systems/Business Support Systems project which looked at automating the Company’s systems, prior to projecting managing the OSS/BSS project, Eugene was the General Manager for Xceed Pasifika, Marketing and Solutions for Xceed Pasifika, New Business Development and Manager Data Services for Telecom Fiji Ltd.
With 8 years of management experience, he is a results-driven telecommunications industry professional who inculcates teams towards a service management culture. In these roles, he gained vast experience with crafting strategy, business modeling, business rationalization, organizational and re-engineering and staff alignment using the Balanced Scorecard Performance Management System.
Apart from these professional attributes, his key character traits include strong analytical and synthesis skills, clear customer focus, a passion for developing solutions that accentuate sustainability, a drive to secure innovative and commercially viable solutions and a continuous improvement orientation.
Eugene’s lucrative academic career spans from achieving his Masters of Philosophy–Technology from the University of Cambridge, UK in 2005, Masters of Business Administration, Mt Eliza Business School, Australia in 2001, B.E. (Hons)) Electrical & Electronics Engineering, University of Cantebury, New Zealand in 1993.

Ravuni Uluilakeba: General Manager Retail
Business
Mr. Uluilakeba was appointed General Manager Retail in November 2009. He is responsible for all Customer Services, Sales, Marketing, Service Delivery and Product Development implementation into the market. Prior to this Mr. Uluilakeba was the General Manager Marketing & Innovation with Fiji Electricity Authority since October 2002. He has over extensive experience in the Telecommunication and Electricity industries spanning over thirty years.
Mr. Uluilakeba is an Engineer by profession. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has served as a Director in various corporate companies in Fiji including Telecommunication Authority of Fiji and Fiji Shipping Corporation Ltd.
Apart from these professional attributes, his key character tracts are strategic planning, clear customer focus drive, strong analytical skills, marketing and innovative customer solutions to assist elevate the customer loyalty program.
Mr. Uluilakeba holds an MBA from Monash University, Australia and a B.Eng (Electrical & Electronic) from Brighton Polytechnic-UK.
